Hello! Thank you for fixing the MCP. One persistent problem with using the MCP is that file upload/download is struggling. Upload will sometimes work, downloads will always fail in my experience. It seems that file downloads via the MCP creates a temporary download area that can´t be reached by the user, I have never been able to make this work.
Uploads will sometimes (but not always) fail. As of recent, I have rarely been able to upload files via the MCP. My last attempt today I got this error message:
„curl: (6) Could not resolve host: upload.awork.com“
Thank you in advance for looking at this.
(Using the MCP with ChatGPT regular by the way)
Hi @Kjetil_Ringen, sorry for the late response, this must have slipped through.
Thanks for reporting this and for including the error message. We suspect a problem with how files are transferred between ChatGPT and awork, but need a few details to confirm.
If this is still an issue, could you send us:
- The approximate date and time of a failed attempt, including your time zone.
- The conversation or screenshots showing the upload/download attempt and error. Please remove confidential content.
- The awork MCP trace ID. You can ask ChatGPT: “Please show the awork MCP trace IDs for this failed upload or download attempt.”
- For downloads: did ChatGPT provide a clickable link, and what happened when you clicked it immediately?
Thank you! Sebastian
