So, what I would do in something like MS Project is have a header container for the Project Phase, then sub levels of Project tasks - I purposely restrict myself to 2 levels of task (top level then Sub tasks if they have dependencies or different resource allocations).
That top level - Project Phase - Would be an amazing improvement.
Also - Milestones?
